If I am photographing your
child, please be aware that children are best
photographed after being well-rested, well-fed, and
healthy. Please be prepared and bring along
anything that they might need to keep them content and
comfortable - snacks, drinks, favorite toy, etc.
THE
PHOTO SESSION
On average, each session lasts one to
two hours. My main style is to shoot on
location - a location of your choice. If you were
thinking of a studio shot, let me know, we can work
something out.
For clothing, classic is
best. Soft, neutral colors are great. Loud prints and logos are best avoided,
unless we have discussed this issue beforehand and we
are going for a specific look. Obviously, with
kids, it's fun to bend the rules a bit, (like fairy
wings or a crazy hat!) But let's talk about it!
It is probably best to bring
a variety of clothes, whether it be for yourself or for
your children. Maybe one set-up can be more
classic and traditional, and another set-up can be
trendier and make more of a statement.
The client is responsible
for appearances (besides clothes, please consider hair,
and for adults, make-up). If needed, I am happy to
recommend a make-up artist that is reasonably
priced. Hopefully these will be
photos you will share with everyone and look back on for
years to come! So, it is worth it to look your
very best. Even if you want to look natural,
minimal make-up is recommended.
AFTER THE PHOTO
SESSION
In one to two weeks after
your photo session, I will email you a link to your
proofs on a password protected page. I will also
send you a link to a slideshow of your best photos. You can share
these links with your family and friends! When
viewing your proofs, you will also have the choice of
viewing and ordering each photo in black & white or
sepia. Your photos will remain up for viewing for
a month, after which time they will be taken down.
After that, your proofs can be extended or put back up
for a very small fee.
